Hello mikmikand Welcome to MySwissAlps,
Almost every train ride in Switzerland is scenic.
If I was you I would just do a day trip to the Jungfrau Region.
Use the timetable on the SBB website (bit.ly/2HH1U7B) or the highly-recommended SBB Mobile app (bit.ly/2ICIUHi) to plan your travel, find fares* and buy tickets if required. If you are not familiar with using the timetable it will pay to first read the instructions on this page – http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable. *SBB website shows half-fare prices by default, mobile app allows you to nominate full or half-fare and is also smart enough to offer you the Saver Day Pass (http://www.myswissalps.com/sa verdaypass) if that offers the best fare.

Hello Mikmik,
To support Rockoyster’s idea of visiting the Jungfrau Region for a day, have a look at below link, providing you with a nice circuit of the area for a day trip.

Alternatively you can look at the region around the city of Lucerne, also reached quickly from Basel and providing lots of beautiful scenery and activities. Check the “What to do” tab in below link:

You’re very welcome!
Then I would stick to the Lucerne area or just stay in lower altitudes around Interlaken and Grindelwald, the scenery will be around you also if you don’t go UP the mountains.

both in the Jungfrau Region
You can of course also explore the area around Basel. See:

I’m sure you’ll find something nice to explore in any case.
Best,
Steph
