    Hi,

My family and I will be arriving in Zurich on 30th April in the morning. We have two small children – 5 year-old and 2-year old. So we plan to take the Swiss Travel Pass for travelling. We are looking for suggestions to best plan our first day in Switzerland before checking-in our hotel in Grindelwald.

So we figured it would be nice if there is a nice scenic train route from Zurich to Grindelwald, via Bern. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Hi Keeperaisyu and welcome to MySwissAlps!

The most direct “scenic” train route would be to travel via Lucerne to Interlaken, taking the Luzern -Interlaken Express, which is part of the Golden Pass route.

Depending on how much time you have you could go a slightly longer route: train to St. Gallen then the Voralpen Express to Lucerne and then the Luzern-Interlaken Express and then another train on to Grindelwald.

Use the timetable to plan out the various options.
