We are planning to buy the Swiss Rail Pass and would like to take the Schilthorn tourn, but it starts at 8am. We are staying in Weggis and it looks like it takes over 2 hours to get there. My questions is if we take the train to Schilthorn, can we buy ticket there? Does anyone know if that is possible

    Thank you

    Hello HappyTravel,

Will you be holding a Swiss Travel Pass? If so, you will not need a ticket to the Schilthorn, as it is included in the pass. Check below links for details:

Should you hold a different pass, please let us know, as answers may change in such a case.

Minor clarification Steph. If you have a Swiss Travel Pass you still need to front up to the Schilthorn Bahn ticket office at Mürren or Stechelberg and get a bar-coded ticket to get you through the turnstiles. It will be free of course with a Swiss Travel Pass but there is no avoiding the ticket office.
