Hi all, an urgent question. We will be arriving in Switzerland on 18/09/15 and we plan to buy the Swiss travel pass and book our seats for glacier express at the Swiss rail station once we are there. Just worried that there will be no seats available for glacier express. We plan to take the GE on the 21/09/15. Do you’ll think it will be still available if we do the booking on the 18/09 since GE was one of the main things on our itineraries.. Thank you so much

    Hi Jeewadas,

Welcome to MySwissAlps! I can’t tell you whether there will be seats available. The train is pretty popular, but occupancy varies by date and time. There’s a fair chance you can still get seats, but no guarantees.

There’s no need to do this in Switzerland though. You can book seats online. Links can be found on our Glacier Express page; also check the “More on other websites” section.

    Enjoy the ride!
