Hi Simage,
Yes, everyone must reserve a seat on the Glacier Express. During the booking process there will be a drop down menu to select that you have the Swiss Travel Pass and it will adjust the price accordingly.

Hi Lucas, I could not see any drop down for STP. It keeps telling me to make payment. Is there anything I got wrong? I noticed there are a few selection and I tried the 1st and 3rd rail reservation. I still could not get it with STP. Your advice will be much appreciate.

Hi Simage,
If you are using my link above you don’t select any reduction – that is the reservation fare.
You can also book on https://www.rhb.ch/en/ panoramic-trains/glacier-express#c219 where you need to choose the Swiss Travel Pass reduction.

The reservation fee on the Glacier Express official booking site will be CHF 33 per seat until 15 June, or CHF 43 from 16 June onwards. If that is the fee you are being charged, you are just paying for the reservation. Fees on other booking sites might vary slightly, but if they are approximately the same, you are just being charged for a reservation, not also for a ticket.

Thanks Alpenrose for the info. Yes, I booked reservation and paid CHF 43 per head with STP. Is almost full load for the train and I am lucky still managed to get 2 seats.
