The Hamilton Lodges near Zweisimmen and on the Belalp are beautifully located amid the Alps and offer splendid views (see attachments). The lodges each offer a special hiking package, developed by a local expert.
The Hamilton Lodge on the Belalp is accessible by cable car from the village of Blatten near Brig. The lodge is situated at an altitude of 2000 m and next to the Aletsch Glacier, a UNESCO World Heritage area. It's a beautiful area for extended walking tours. A family of ground hogs are the hotel’s neighbours. Local mountain guide Fredy Eggel is eager to explain everything about the Belalp’s nature, history and traditions.
The lodge near Zweisimmen is situated half-way up the Rinderberg mountain. You can reach the village of Zweisimmen by train or by car. From there you take the cable car to Eggweid. From this beautiful spot, at an altitude of 1450 m, great hikes can be made through mountain meadows and along “suonen” (narrow irrigation canals).

- Sunday: arrival
- Monday: hike to Nessel, 4 hrs
- Tuesday: Sparrhorn walk, 4 hrs
- Wednesday: rest and wellness
- Thursday: hike across the suspension bridge (Aletsch Glacier!) to the Riederalp, 6 hrs*
- Friday: Foggenhorn walk, 4 hrs
- Saturday: departure
