Hi Dianne –
Welcome to my Swiss Alps.
<<“Can Piz Corvatsch still be explored with the help of mountain cable cars at the beginning of November? Can Piz Nair?>>
I checked the timetable-

Since you did not give dates, I made a guess. Neither on is running on November 1.
They are running through part of October.
You can explore specific dates with the timetable.

Slowpoke is correct. Corvatsch has a maintenance window from October 19 to November 23: http://www.myswissalps.com/co rvatsch/gettingthere. After that it will operate. The Piz Nair cable car won’t operate from October 21 to December 20 unfortunately.

Thank you for your response Arno. Do you recommend hiking Piz Nair or Piz Corvatsch without the help of cable cars? Are they difficult hikes? Do you know how long each would take solely by foot?

Hi Dianne –
This map can show you elevations and trails:map.geo.admin.ch/?topic=swisstopo&lang=e n&bgLayer=ch.swisstopo .pixelkarte-farbe&layers=ch.swisst opo.swisstlm3d-wanderwege&zoom=5&E=27 82021.71&N=1152751.86
The map is searchable by place name.
The valley is at 1758 meters; Piz Nair, for example, is at 3056 meters. Some chance of snow on the trails by then, especially as you get above 2000 meters.
This link explains the color coding on the trails:
