Stanserhorn with Swiss Travel Pass – ticket needed

    I understand the entire trip is free with STP. Do we just show pass and get onto cable car or do we still need to go to ticket counter and collect tickets before going on the trip?

    Hi boshyd,

    Generally speaking, on mountain trips, you need to go to the ticket office to get the free ticket/boarding pass.

    Sometimes there are electronic gates to pass through and you need a special barcode, otherwise I think it is a bookkeeping thing. 🙂
