    Hi All!

I have been on the forums on this site, but I am in need of advice. We will be in Switzerland for 10 days, July 4 – July 15, arriving in Zurich then taking the train the Lucerne where we’ll be for the duration of our trip before taking the train back to Zurich for our flight back on July 15.

We are outdoorsy people and have found that the forums show a good amount of activity in the Lucerne area: Rigi, Pilatus, Titlis, boat trips in lake Lucerne, day trip via train to Jungfraujoch, etc. But do want to do day trips to neighboring areas.

We agree that a STP for our stay will be beneficial for the events stated above as well as train travel. Since we aren’t sure which days we are doing what, is it better to do the Swiss Travel Pass or the Flex Pass?

    Any advice would be wonderful!

    Heather

    Hi Heather,

It can seem like a tough call when you have a 12 day stay (falling between 8 and 15 day passes). But the 15 day Swiss Travel Pass is only 40chf or so more than the 8 day Swiss Travel Pass Flex.

So you are covered for all 12 days making everything much simpler for you. Also, getting all the free discounts (museums etc) on any day. You don’t get those “extras” on non-travel days on the STP Flex.
