Need help. Spreadsheet inconclusive; would appreciate insight.

Group of 8 with ages 14-78. Flying in and out of Zurich but spending 5 days in Meiringen. Places we wish to see:

    Zürich – Luzern – Brünigpass – Meiringen

    Ballenbergmuseum, Aareschlucht and the Reichenbachfall.

    Schynige Platte

    Kleine Scheidegg

Any Cogwheel train near Meiringen (Rothorn?)

Please help, which pass should we get for 5 days? Thank you!

I did a similar trip in 2015 and used the Bernese Oberland Pass. It provided greater variety within the area.

Luzern would be the boundary from Zurich (Airport). It may be worth your while to purchase a monthly half fare card.

The little train from Meiringen to Innertkirchen is a lovely (reasonably short) ride and along the way you can take a break at a small station that opens out into a spectacular gorge.

And the (again reasonably short) post ride from Brienz to Axalp is nothing short of spectacular!

All the resources you need will be on this site. Or links thereto.

Check previous questions and answers. The general topic has been covered many times previously.

I used Tell Pass chat and was told post bus was NOT covered by Tell Pass. Is that true?

what is the pass you are referring to for this suggested Meiringen itinerary? Thanks:)

As stated above, the Bernese Oberland Pass.

There is a schedule on the Tell Pass web site giving it’s availability; see attached

    Hi svbergen,

You can compare validity areas of both passes on our site. It shows the routes the passes are valid for on the PDF map:
