Hi Group,

i am travelling to Switzerland from 16 Aug to 19th August for 3 days with my family of 2 adult and 2 children. I have 2 full days while i am staying in Lucerne. Is it possible to cover both Glacier 3000 and Mount Titlis in 2 days , one day each from Lucerne? Please advise, if no, then suggest better to visit mount titlis or glacier 3000. We want to see the snow as much as possible. If i am only going to one mountain, what are the other optional places to visit in one remaining day in lucerne… pilatus or rigi or anyone suggest plz.. thanks in advance

Hi Manoj Aditi, welcome to MySwissAlps!

It’s possible, but Glacier 3000 makes for a long day trip from Lucerne: http://www.myswissalps.com/glacier3000/gettingthere. You can use the timetable at http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable to find out and enter “Glacier-des-Diablerets”: a single journey from Lucerne to the top of Glacier 3000 easily takes 4 to 5 hours. I suggest you focus on the mountains closer to Lucerne. Snow isn’t guaranteed up there in August, but I’m pretty sure you’ll still enjoy the views from one of the tops below:
