Hey Lucas,
Thanks for the suggestion. I went through the links and decided for the following itinerary:
Day 1: Go to Zurich Airport to Zurich Railway station. Keep the luggages in locker and go for a city tour for 2-3hrs. Later take a train to Lucern. Evening walk around Lucern for sight seeing.
Day 2: Take a train to Engelberg and take a cable car to Mout Titilis
Day 3: Take a train to Grindelwald and then another train to Jungfrau
Day 4: Half day interlaken city tour.
Is this a good idea? Or should I plan to include Mout Pilatus/Rigi. As for city tour should I try Rhine falls and Bern or Interlaken.
Please also suggest which train pass should i get. As I have a conference i need to travel to Nottwil from Lucern for 3days and rest 4days of touring, so I would need a 8day pass. So what should I go for Swiss Rail Pass or Tell Pass?

It seems like a good itinerary! I don’t think Interlaken is worth a city tour on day 4 though. Look at Bern.
You could add Pilatus or Rigi on day 2 (longer day so it is up to you). Use the Swiss railways timetable to plan out trips and see what works for you: https://www.myswissalp s.com/timetable
A Tell Pass doesn’t cover Nottwil (https://www.myswissalp s.com/tellpass/validit y) but you don’t need a rail pass if you are not leaving the town due to your conference for 4 days.
I’d lean to the Swiss Travel Pass for 4 days when you aren’t in the conference. https://www.myswissalp s.com/swisstravelpass
If you want to compare the 2 rail passes to see which comes out more economical once you’ve finalized your itinerary, look here: https://www.myswissalp s.com/train/ticketspas ses/practical/choosera ilpass

Thank you Lucas for the suggestion I think we can follow the following route on
Day 2: Lucerne – Kriens ( cableway) – Pilatus summit ( cogwheel train) – Alpnachstad ( train) – Engelberg (cableway) – Mount Titlis – Engelberg – Lucerne. How much time will it take to complete the above trip?
as for Day 4: I was thinking of visiting Bern or we can take the Gotthard Panorama Express day trip to Lugano and return to Lucerne same day evening. What do you suggest?
and as for Day 1: City tour of Zurich—- Is it a good idea or should I proceed staight to Lucern and squeeze in any other tour option?
As per you suggestion I will go for 4day Swiss Travel Pass. I wanted to ask 1 thing as I will be staying at Lucern (as I am not getting hotel in Nottwill) and conference is in Nottwill….I will have to travel everyday to Nottwil, if Tell Pass does not include Nottwil what is the cheapest way to Nottwil. How much time does it take.

Hi Caesai,
Day 2: The timetable link I gave earlier will give you travel times – just enter Luzern to Pilatus (via Kriens) and Pilatus to Titlis (via alpnachstad).
Day 4: Either can work – If the weather is nice I’d head to Lugano on the Gotthard panorama express https://www.myswissalp s.com/gotthardpanorama express
Day 1: I don’t think it is a bad idea to visit Zurich for a few hours no. If there is nothing jumping out at you to do in Luzern that day why not explore another city. It has a nice downtown area and oldtown (Altstadt).
The timetable gives you prices to Nottwil, about 10chf one-way.
You could look at a Swiss Half Fare Card (https://www.myswissalp s.com/swisshalffarecar d) for the whole trip, rather than the 4 day Swiss Travel Pass. Try comparing the costs (STP & 4 round trips to Nottwil vs. Swiss Half Fare Card with 50% off all trips).
I think the Swiss Travel Pass might still be cheaper but doing the math will show you.
