Both are good suggestions. The thing is that we’re driven by the things we’ve done ourselves. I’d like to make suggestions from personal experience. Although we do make an exception here and there. We haven’t done those trips yet unfortunately. But I want to 🙂

For me, the “personal experience” basis for information on MySwissAlps is what sets it apart from other websites and makes it such a valuable resource. I certainly would prefer for that to remain the basis for most information on the site, even if that means some areas have little or no coverage.
People who travel in areas of Switzerland that aren’t well covered yet can always write trip reports based on their own experiences to supplement existing resources.

ArnoModerator15471 posts25 April 2018 at 9:54:10 #881632Good to hear the approach makes sense to you. And it’s a good reason for us to visit new areas. Not exactly a bad thing 🙂
rockoysterParticipant8889 posts7 May 2018 at 9:44:10 #881633How about putting something in the forum instructions encouraging people to provide some information on when they are travelling. When responding to questions this is very often a piece of missing information which makes a tailored response difficult.
rockoysterParticipant8889 posts9 May 2018 at 21:10:04 #881634Link to buy Vignette on line on http://www.myswissalps.com/mo torwayvignette is incorrect. Just goes into a loop back to same page.
Removed userParticipant72625 posts10 May 2018 at 2:21:12 #881635Hi Rockoyster, I replied to your other post on it – I tried it myself and it worked fine for me…still having trouble?
rockoysterParticipant8889 posts10 May 2018 at 3:00:40 #881636LOL it is fixed now but I swear it wasn’t working earlier. The text of the link was correct but the actual url just returned to the page it was on. One of life’s great mysteries unless Arno snuck in and fixed it. 🤓
Removed userParticipant72625 posts10 May 2018 at 4:30:37 #881637He could have! Hopefully he’s enjoying his holiday too much to be that quick on here though!
ArnoModerator15471 posts16 May 2018 at 17:59:45 #881638I didn’t change that link no. Today I did, because the SBB web shop changed.
The forum rules already ask people to tell us when they travel. We ask people to read those rules before posting, but I think I’m being a bit too positive if I expect that everyone actually does 🙂
ArnoModerator15471 posts30 August 2018 at 18:04:31 #881639Hi everyone,
Our Ticino section is now available: http://www.myswissalps.com/ti cino. You’ll find information there about the Lake Maggiore and Lake Lugano regions, various attractions (e.g. the Centovalli line), hiking suggestions (short ones mostly) and hotel suggestions. Hopefully it’s useful for those of you who haven’t been there yet. Be sure to go, it’s a wonderful area!
You may still see a few glitches as we’re still working on details: checking for typos, adding suggested apartments to rent, etc. It should all be fixed within the coming week or so.

i am wondering how i am finding all my older posts at one go , even going by one by one be fine, against my name there appearing no of my posts but the site having no system of clicking that and see all his/her posts not all at one place but still one by one topicwise or whatever……so this facility should be there in my view.
Further, i wish one permanent sort of topic like ”if somebody would had told me before” wherein travellers shares their problems faced by them on the vacation, and also share some good suggestion in my view would go a long way to make this website further very fruitful in my view.
rockoysterParticipant8889 posts31 August 2018 at 5:55:13 #881641Hello Hansaria,
You can find a list of all your previous posts if once logged in you go to “My Account” (top of screen) then on right hand side look for link to “Your Public Profile”.

rockoysterParticipant8889 posts31 August 2018 at 7:45:01 #881645Hi Hansaria,
Have you tried using the site search function and just searching for “November ” or “late November “?
Removed userParticipant72625 posts31 August 2018 at 8:35:07 #881646oh late nov search really relevant and useful for me…………thanks
Removed userParticipant72625 posts31 August 2018 at 13:41:58 #881647I think the feedback and tips from members can be useful no matter what time of year you go.
You’ll just find that some activities they might have talked about aren’t possible in November. But their travel tips are still applicable.
