With your help I’ve decided to purchase 3 Tell Passes for our visit to the Lucerne area. However, I just realized that there is no “print at home” option for these. Nor is there enough time to have them mailed to us in the U.S. A final option is to purchase and pick up at the airport in Zurich. Questions:

    1. Where do you pick up the passes at the airport?

    2. Will we encounter long lines at the pickup?

    3. Is a final option to just go to the same location (see # 1) and make the purchase when we arrive?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi John,

    1. You can buy the pass at the airport train station. Or you can buy it online and have it shipped to your first hotel in Switzerland if that works for you. That’s quicker and cheaper than to the US. This will work if you order today via http://www.swissrailways.com/ en/products/regionalce ntralswisspass and need the pass to start on September 21 or later. They also offer the option to collect it at the airport, but that’s more expensive than just having it delivered to any address in Switzerland.

    2. It can be 5 minutes or half an hour of waiting depending on how many flights just landed. It’s hard to predict.

    3. Yes, see 1.

    Enjoy your trip!

Arno is right about the wait. 3 years ago there was no line at ticket counter but we were there Saturday September 2 this month at noon and waited 30 minutes or maybe more.even though there were 3 agents working behind the counter. Mark
