Welcome to MySwissAlps Krv123!
Yes, the Swiss Travel Pass includes Basel SBB to Beatenberg for free. You do not need a ticket for that leg of your trip, all you need is the Swiss Travel Pass to board any train you like. What’s included in the pass can be found on the map: http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass/validity.
This is what you need to buy:
Have a wonderful trip!

>> trains from Basel to Beatenberg?
Please note that you can’t get a train all the way to Beatenberg. You can only get a train as far as Thun or Interlaken West. There is a stop in Beatenberg called Beatenberg, station, but it is not a railway station, rather the top station of the funicular from Beatenbucht and valley station of the Niederhorn gondola.
- From Thun station, you would get bus #21 (direction: Interlaken Ost) to the Beatenbucht (Beatenbergbahn) stop, then the funicular up to Beatenberg.
- From Interlaken West station, you would get bus #101 (direction: Beatenberg station) to one of 14 stops in Beatenberg.
You can look up the address of your proposed accommodation in Google Maps, then zoom in to find the nearest bus stop. If you hover the mouse over the bus stop or railway station logo in Google Maps (or tap it on a hand-held device), it will give you details about the official name of the stop. Use this in your timetable search to get the best option for travelling to your accommodation.
However, even if your accommodation is close to the funicular/gondola station, when travelling with luggage, train to Interlaken West, then bus #101 is probably more convenient than the route via Thun using the bus and funicular.
