    Hi,

We are planning to visit Switzerland during June/Juley.Our plan is to stay at Lucerne.

From Lucerne we want to do Mt Rigi.

q1 ) What is the best possible route to take from Lucerne to Mt Rigi?

From Lucerne we want to take the golden pass train to interlaken. On the same day we are planning to do jungfraujoch.

On evening we plan to return to interlaken or zweisimmen and stay overnight.

q2) Can we do jungfraujoch on same day and come back to interlaken or zweisimmen ?

Next day we intend to do the choclate train in Montreux http://www.goldenpass.ch/en/g oldenpass/offer/view?id=15,

q3 ) Is it possible to reach Montreux before the choclate train trip starts at 8 AM from interlaken or zweisimmen?

Hello sushmit86 and Welcome to MySwissAlps,

    Q1. See http://www.myswissalps.com/ri gi.

Q2. Yes. Use the Swiss Train Timetable (http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable) to plan your travel. If you haven’t used it before it will pay to read the instructions on that page before delving into the timetable.

Q3. Not unless you want to leave either place prior to 5:00am. From Interlaken the fastest route (which the timetable will show you) is via Bern. You might want to read this thread http://www.myswissalps.com/fo rum/topic/train-route-from-lauterbrennen-to-gruyeres for some ideas of how to make the travel more efficient. Also please note that as a result of construction works, Chocolate Train guests are taking the bus in Montbovon. The bus takes them to Gruyères, to Broc and back again. This probably applies for the entire season until 31 October.
