    Hello everybody.

We are planning to visit the county for 4 days and I am a bit confused between the two tickets. We’re travelling with our 3 year old and as I understood it, a family pass will be helpful for us, but we have to purchase travel pass with it, and travel pass will be discounted 50 percentage off with the family pass at hand? We’re planning to visit Lauterbrunnen, Geneva and some Alps coming from Zurich. Thank you so much! It is our first time to visit. 😊

Hi Arski, and welcome to MySwissAlps!

Children aged 0-5 travel free and don’t require any ticket or Swiss Family Card. This is the case regardless of whether you are using some sort of pass or are buying point-to-point tickets.

When you have planned out your itinerary, and decided what travel you will be doing each day on trains, buses, boats and cable cars, you will be in a good position to assess what will be the most cost-effective and/or convenient way of paying for your transport within Switzerland.
