Hi,

We've purchased 2 half fare cards and assumed that as we had these, our children (one of whom is 6) would travel with us free. However, I've just tried to purchase our train journey for tomorrow and our 6 year old is coming at full price. Do we need to purchase a half fare card for our 6 year old or can he travel for half fare on our half fare cards?

I knew I should've bought the train tickets earlier in the week and not the evening before we fly!

Thanks

I've double checked and we have a free family card so technically our 6 year old should travel for free with us, however on the SBB page when ordering tickets, there is no option to select family card. I guess we'd be better of buying our tickets at the train station in person.

Hi debflint,

You have a Swiss Family Card, so you don't need any tickets for the children. You just need to buy discounted tickets for the adults. You can do so from the machines or staffed service desk.

Have a good trip!
