Good Morning ! I We are 2 adults and 3 kids and i am planning to buy one Swiss half fare and add my three kids to it, We only have 3 routes we are planning to take the train and it does not make financial sense to buy two half fare. When i am booking the train tickets either through mob.ch or sbb.ch, it only reflects the one adult half fare discounts even though i added kids under half fare discount. i thought kids travelled free under Half price with one adult ? what am i missing ?

When you purchase the Swiss Half Fare Card, be sure to request for the complimentary Swiss Family Card. The Swiss Family Card allows your children (aged 6 to 15) to travel along for free as long as you have a valid ticket. You don‘t need to purchase any tickets for the childlren, just tickets for the adults. Ticket inspections are conducted on board randomly. Just show your tickets, the Swiss Half Fare Card and Swiss Family Card during ticket checks.
