Hi, just a couple of things here…the Wengen Mannlichen cable car will not begin operation until June 1 and the hiking path will probable still be snow covered. The same is true of the cable cars around Meirengen. They will not open until the end of May. The boat on Lake Brienz does not go as far as Meirengan, just to Brienz. As for getting back to Interlaken (Wengen) from Oberhofen, the train does not run on the north side of Lake Thun, so you can take a bus to Thun and then the train or you can just take the bus or boat back to Interlaken West. I have never seen tubing at the Schilthorn. May is a very slow time in the mountains as it is between the Winter and Summer seasons. All of the mountains excursions are weather dependent. When there is a clear day GO. If the mountains are in the clouds you will see nothing, wasting you time and money. There is a very nice outdoor museum at Brienz, Ballenberg. This would be a good option after having lunch at Gissbach. Have a great trip.
