    Welcome to MySwissAlps YL!

Both the Swiss Pass and the Swiss Card can be used to travel from Zurich Airport to Zermatt. You just need one of those passes. No other tickets or reservations are required. Maps showing what’s covered can be downloaded from the Swiss Pass page and Swiss Card page.

Both passes can be ordered online and delivered to your home address. All purchase options are at the pages I just linked to. To order and collect at the airport, you can best use the Swiss railways website.

    Hi YL,

    i. You can collect the pass from the rail station of the airport. Just follow the signs to get there. You’ll get further details upon ordering.
ii. Please refer to my previous answer. You do not need anything else but the pass. Train schedules are in the timetable.

    Enjoy the ride!

    >how can we check the train schedule, or board the train<

When you pick up the Swiss Pass at any ticket window ask the staff when the next train to your destination is leaving and from what track (“Gleis”)

You will need to make changes (at least one) enroute so also ask staff to print out a timetable for you. Then you will know on which track you arrive, when your departing train is leaving, and from which track. This is important information to have as often times the changes are of short duration (less than 10 minutes) and require you to move quickly. If you don’t know from where or when your next train leaves you will lose to much time trying to figure it out. Also, to ensure you make the change, have all of your luggages and traveling companions together standing by the train door a few minutes before the train pulls into the station. This will allow you to make the most efficient trip. However, if you miss a connection, there is usually another train within 30 minutes or so.
