Hi my husband and I are travelling from Lake Como to Lucerne by train In mid October and staying 2-3 nights in Lucerne. We want to go on Lake Lucerne and also go up the Jungfrau. Then leave Lucerne via the Golden Pass to Montreau and then onto maybe Geneva and then to Lyon in France. All by train. Would the Jungfrau and cog wheel train be covered by the Swiss rail Pass and also the Golden Pass train.

    Hi Fiona,

The Swiss Travel Pass covers 25% of the cost to Jungfraujoch from Grindelwald or Wengen (so the trip from Luzern to as far as one of those two towns. The Golden Pass route is fully covered – you may want to consider reservations however (at least between Zweisimmen and Montreux).

For a map and list of what is covered by the Swiss Travel Pass click here.

Use the swiss rail timetable here to plan your trips as well – note that Jungfraujoch from Luzern will be a very long day.
