We will buy swiss save pass and family pass for family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenages, at age 13, 15).
This is probability is the cheapest for a family travel in switzerland.

    My questions,
    1. From Paris to switzerland, should we only buy Paris -> Basel tickets, and stay on the same train
to Berne, or Zurich by using the Swiss Card.
    2. From Chur to Vienna on night train, up to which station in Switzerland is covered by Swiss Card.
    Which tickets should we buy.
    3. For all places where swiss saver card covers, could we use Family card to cover 2 teenages?
Any places where family card does not cover?

    Thanks,

    NP

    Hi
#1 You can stay on the same train after Basel but you should really have the pass validated in Basel before taking the Swiss trains
    #2 Buchs
#3 It should be valid to all places covered on the Swiss Pass. I was told it did not cover the trip to Jungfraujoch however the conductor said it was covered and I should get my money back on the ticket which I did.

    Thanks,

How long will the train stop at Basel?

Should we get off, validate the card, and get on the next train?

    Hi npvacation,

There are two ways to validate your pass. Which one applies, depends on the reseller you purchase from. Are you from the US? In that case, you most probably need to validate your pass at a Swiss rail station. Most European travelers receive a pass that can be validated by themselves according to the enclosed instructions.

    Enjoy your stay!
