We are travelling from Milan via direct train to Lucerne in June and basing ourselves there for five days. We then plan to visit Mt Pilatus, Mt Titlis, Mt Rigi and do lake trips and hikes. We then go to Paris via Basel.

The Swiss Tell Pass seems to be good value for these mountain trips compared to the other travel passes. But I don’t see it recommended very often. Would you recommend it over the other passes. Thankyou for your assistance.

Hello aligib and Welcome to MySwissAlps,

It is well suited to visitors who are staying in and around Lucerne. Just do the sums including your trip to and from Lucerne to confirm. Check out “How to chose the best travel pass” (http://www.myswissalps.com/tr ain/ticketspasses/prac tical/chooserailpass).

    Hi aligib,

The Tell Pass is indeed a good option for those staying in and around the Lucerne area during their trip.

Look at the PDF map here of the area the Tell Pass covers. If you only need to travel in that area then it is a good option indeed.
