Good morning,

I am looking to buy the swiss transfer ticket combi with half fare card with family card. Can i do it online? I checked the SBB and raileurope website and not able to find the option to purhcase it online. Can you please help.

I was first considering the swiss travel pass but that is falling short by one day as I am in the region for 5 days.

Any information on how to buy this combi card would be super helpful. Thanks!

Hi Adiswami,

Yes, you can absolutely buy it online. It's the only way actually; the Swiss Transfer Ticket is not for sale in Switzerland. You can see all the purchase options if you go to myswissalps.com/ swisstransferticket/ price and select "Swiss Transfer Ticket Combi" under "Rail product".

Since you're from Canada the best retailers are www.raileurope.ca/rail -tickets-passes/swiss-transfer-ticket-with-half-fare-card-combi/index.html and www.raileurope-world.com/pass/swiss-transfer-ticket-half-fare.

Thanks for your reply. I went to the site as per your direction. However, under delivery, the only option available is paper - "Rail passes are printed as a paper document and must be shipped to you prior to your departure to Europe. Paper tickets are subject to a shipping and handling fee"

www.raileurope.ca/rail -tickets-passes/swiss-transfer-ticket-with-half-fare-card-combi/index.html

Since I am travelling startiing tomorrow, I am out of luck to get this one?

Sorry to hear that! It's indeed too late to order online and get any of the lower prices. There are two options left:

  • Buy a Swiss Transfer Ticket or Swiss Travel Pass through the web shop at www.swissrailways.com. You'd pay the normal price here, but they offer the convenience of delivery to any address (e.g. your hotel) in Switzerland. This only works if you stay in Zurich, Basel or Geneva (where you plane lands) and only start traveling to the rest of Switzerland on August 26 or later;
  • Buy a Swiss Travel Pass upon arrival at the rail station. The Swiss Transfer Ticket is not available there.
