Swiss Travel Pass 1st class without reservations

    When getting on a train with Swiss Travel Pass/1st class/ without a reservation, how do you know which coach/ seats are available?

    Hi Goose,

    The first class coaches are clearly marked on both the outside and inside of the train. Seat reservations are very uncommon in Switzerland, so you can just pick any available seat. Reservations are not even possible in all trains. In case a seat is reserved for someone else, it will be indicated on an electronic display.
