    Hi Xpresso,

Please click this link, that’s the one I tried too. I can select tomorrow, July 19, with no issues. Please see the attached screenshot. If this doesn’t work for you, the only reason I can think of is the date/time settings on your computer and/or browser.

Alternatively you can indeed order via HappyRail, that’s this link. You can pick your language and currency in the upper right corner. ING is listed first but there are other payment options too.

Either way, you should receive your pass quickly. Do check your spam box too. Have a great trip!

    Hi

I regularly read your forums and read everything about travel to Switzerland, because of Covid I had to cancel the trip for May 1, 2020 part of my money is refunded part not …. the question is is any discount planned for Tell-Pass Summer because I see a lot of promotions for other Pass ?? It suits us because it includes titlis, pilatus and brienz-rothorn.

    Hi Igor_MK, welcome to MySwissAlps!

I’m sorry to hear you had to cancel your trip. Good to see you’re planning a new visit to Switzerland now!

Promotions for regional passes like the Tell-Pass Summer don’t occur often, and as far as we know now, no discount is planned for this pass. If there is, we’ll announce it in on our forum and we’ll list it at http://www.myswissalps.com/tellpass/promotions.

When will you be traveling? If it’s between now and next May/June, the discounted Swiss Travel Pass might be a convenient alternative.

Thank you, Happy Rail worked out great. Best decision we ever made was to get the Swiss Travel Pass. It’s just so convenient. We went from Lausanne to Lavaux, Vevey, Montreux/Chiilon and now Lavey les Bains and could go at our own pace without having to worry about tickets.

    Hey!

I ordered by mistake the Swiss Travel Passes Flex version while I wanted the normal ones. How do I cancel the order (and get a refund) to buy the standard ones?

    I ordered from shop.switzerlandtravelcentre.com/ .

    Hi LSil,

You will have to cancel the first order and submit a new order for a Swiss Travel Pass.

Let us know if you need more information.

    Hi Anna!

My question is how do I cancel the order? I don’t find any option for that. Do you have a link or something for cancelling the order?

    Hi LSil,

You can contact them by email and provide the order details. The email is at the bottom of the website/link you included in your previous post.

There should be no issues as the STP comes with free cancellation.

    Regards,

    Anna

    Hi Lsil!

You can indeed cancel your order until 4 business days before the start date of your pass (explained in the first post of this thread: http://www.myswissalps.com/forum/topic/swiss-travel-pass-25-off-for-trips-in-20212022). You can find contact details as explained by Anna, and they’re listed here as well: http://www.myswissalps.com/aboutus/partners/sbb. Explain that you ordered the wrong type of pass by mistake and include your order/reference number.

I hope this helps. Can you let us know if this works out for you?

So, I sent an email to STC to cancel my order (last night…. and attached those receipts today in a new one) and I got a response shortly after the second mail saying that my order is cancelled and that my money will be refunded within the next 5 working days.

The money is not refunded yet, I’ll come back here with a post after that and see if all the money is refunded.

Hello, I’m not sure this is the right place to post this question, so please correct me if I need to post it somewhere else.

I understand that reservations are not required with the STP travel, but if you are traveling with a group of 10, I keep reading that reservations are required/recommended. Do you know if such group travel reservations cost extra and do I contact SBB directly to make those reservations if the group has STP tickets?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Luvmystang,

yes, as it is a bit different question, next time it would be worth opening a new thread for it so other forum members could easier find it. Thank you 🙂

Back to your question, if you want to be sure you can sit together, it is recommended to reserve your seats. You can do it here: http://www.myswissalps.com/train/reservations/price

As you are 10 people, you might want to read this option too: http://www.myswissalps.com/train/ticketspasses/practical/groupdiscounts

    I hope this helps,

    Take care, Ildiko

    HI Annika

First of all, thank you for the quick response and the information that there will be no planned promotions for the regional pass (although I hope you might be wrong 🙂 and something will come out for us in August, at the same time also thank you for your recommendation to buy the Swiss travel Pass.

We are planning the trip for September 21st, for 6 days, and I still think that for our plans it would be better to take Tell pass in combination with Saver day Pass because the prices for Titlis and Pilatus are still too expensive even with а 50% discount, while Swiss travel pass despite from free tickets for the museums offers nothing more from Saver day pass which price is 52Fr if you buy it a month earlier.

The only museum we would like to visit is the Transport Museum in Luzern, is not free.

We have a few more days to decide which option is the best for us, of course we have to give up something because in 6 days you can’t see and visit everything you would like to.

I can also notice that you are constantly repeating that the Swiss travel pass is with a free cancelation, 4 days before the trip, but on the Happy rail web page it is nicely stated that there is a 15% cancellation fee so I would kindly ask you to give me some more info on this.

Also, when we canceled the previous trip due to the Covid situation and had bought a 2X3 saver day pass, Happy rail has returned the money to us for about 25% fee, although the official website of SBB stated that all purchased tickets by April 31, 2020 will be fully refunded.

But, in any case, that does not make us hesitate to change our mind about traveling again, and maybe we, the rich Macedonians, will help “poor” Switzerland 🙂 :).

Thank you for everything and wish you all the best!

    Hi Igor,

    thanks for your questions.

Transport Museum in Lucerne is discounted (50%) with the Swiss Travel Pass, see http://www.myswissalps.com/museumoftransport/tickets. Anyway, it is an amazing museum 🙂

Cancellation of these Swiss Travel Passes (promotion ones) is possible until 1 business day prior to departure. If you click on the promotional offers at http://www.myswissalps.com/swisstravelpass/price you’ll see it there.

I am very sorry that last time you had bad experiences with your cancellations, I understand your concern and that you have doubts. The free cancellation is now part of the promotion so you are going to get your money back if you change your mind or you cannot travel because of Covid.

Regarding the pass opportunities, it is difficult to say anything without calculations. I am not sure if you are already familiar with our calculation spreadsheet, you can download it at http://www.myswissalps.com/train/ticketspasses/practical/chooserailpass. The spreadsheet also includes links to the “Where it’s valid” page for all available passes, be sure to study it carefully. Tell Pass Summer can be good for you if you are staying in the Lake Lucerne region.

Note, that mountain transport is not free or discounted with the Saver Day Pass, learn more at: http://www.myswissalps.com/saverdaypass/validity.

I hope I’ve answered all of your questions. Feel free to get back to us anytime for further input.

    Take care,

    Ildiko

    Hi Igor_MK!

The SBB and HappyRail are different companies. Maybe this helps: http://www.myswissalps.com/train/ticketspasses/practical/wheretobuy.

A 15% cancellation fee applies to many rail products and with most retailers. But this differs per product. Normally, a Saver Day Pass is non-refundable: see http://www.myswissalps.com/saverdaypass under “Important restrictions”. Also refer to https://www.happyrail.com/en/pass/europe/switzerland/swiss-saver-day-pass under “Conditions”. So HappyRail provided a generous refund charging only a 25% fee for the order you had to cancel due to COVID.

As Ildikó rightly notes, the Saver Day Pass offers fewer benefits than the Swiss Travel Pass. Museums and mountain transportation (with only a few exceptions) are not included in the Saver Day Pass (http://www.myswissalps.com/saverdaypass/validity). They are in the Swiss Travel Pass (http://www.myswissalps.com/swisstravelpass/validity). Also mind that the cheapest Saver Day Pass prices are not guaranteed: http://www.myswissalps.com/saverdaypass (under “Important restrictions”).

My money was refunded today (the forth day after the cancellation). Strangely, I got with 0.87% less money, my guess is probably because I payed in a different currency and the exchange rate changed a bit meanwhile.

I ordered the normal Swiss Travel Passes now, got the tickets instantly (1 page PDFs) on email after buying.

    LSil,

Is there any processing fee that is not refundable? Would you please share the reason if you find out. And what site did you purchase from? I remember 3 sites posted in this post. We are about to purchase the STP today or tomorrow to take advantage of 25% discount. Thank you.

I sent an email to ask, probably the earliest time possible to get an answer is tomorrow.

I think there is no processing fee, just the exchange rate differences. I payed in CHF (because the website exchange rate was worse than the one from the bank), so I got the money back in CHF, too, but since the exchange rate changed, I got less money. This is my assumption.
