hi
we have booked our holiday for switzerland from 9 april till 12 april and we will be staying in manor farm holiday park. we are family of 4 me and my wife and 2 sons from which one is infant only 5 months old and second one is 4 years old. so need to know about travel pass that what is the cheapest option for travelling in and around interlaken ? because swiss travel pass will cost us £400 for 2 of us for 4 days . is there any regional pass or day pass in which i can get all train , buses, boats and trams free for a day ???
your help will be highly appreciated.
thanks
Hi Kashseth and thanks for posting again.
Normally yes, there is the Regional Pass – Bernese Oberland & the Jungfrau Travel Pass; but both don’t start until later in April and May respectively.
In your case the Jungfrau Hiking and Sledging Pass could work depending on your exact plans.
To be sure, you can check out our page: How to choose the best rail pass – but you’ll have to plan out all your trips and do the math.
For a day you could look at a Saver Day Pass (http://www.myswissalps.com/on edaytravelpass/details) but it doesn’t help for mountain railways and cable cars that are only discounted (as opposed to free) with the Swiss Travel Pass.
