    Hello,
My friend and I are going to Switzerland today and we would like to buy the Swiss Travel Pass for 4 days with the Jungfraujoch promotion.

The question is; Is it possible to buy the ticket from Grindelwald to Jungfraujoch but on the way back from Jungfraujoch to Lauterbrunnen?
Also, we would like to go to Jungfraujoch on the 23/10/19 but on the SBB calendar, we could only buy the tickets for 24/10/19
Should we better buy only Swiss Travel Pass online and buy the Jungfraujoch tickets once arriving in Switzerland?
Will we still have the promotion if buying at the train shop?

    Thank you in advance.

    Wennaiselly

Hi Wennaiselly, and thanks for joining MySwissAlps!

The promotion is only valid if you buy both your Swiss Travel Pass and the Jungfraujoch tickets online, using the links listed at http://www.myswissalps.com/fo rum/topic/free-reservations-to-jungfraujoch-more-discounts or http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass/promotio ns. Note that the promotion entails a free reservation, so you’ll still need to buy tickets. You can do so for the route you prefer (up via Grindelwald and down via Wengen/Lauterbrunnen), by selecting “Grindelwald-Wengen” from the drop-down list under “Route” at the purchase page.

However, this is theoretical as tickets are indeed available from October 24 onwards, so I’m afraid it’s too late now. You’d best purchase your Swiss Travel Pass online through any of the retailers at http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass/price, as that’s much easier than get it at Swiss railway station. Most retailers will send a printable pass within minutes, and you’ll have a PDF back-up to store on your mobile phone in case your printed pass. Then get your tickets to Jungfraujoch at the spot, upon showing your Swiss Travel Pass to get the right amount of discount. You won’t profit from the free Jungfraujoch seat reservations this way, but as you’ll be traveling in low season you’ll be fine without them.

    Enjoy your trip!
