Swiss Travel Pass procedure for train boarding

    Hello everyone,

This may sound a silly question but if I have a Swiss Travel Pass do I just literally board a train without purchasing a ticket from the counter? Or is it better if I go to a counter and inform the ticket salesman that I have a STP and wait for his approval? This is for bus and regular train rides.

    Thank you!

    Hi Luthienbabe,

The procedure is explained on myswissalps.com/swisst ravelpass/howtouse, but it’s pretty simple: just board and enjoy the ride. You don’t have to inform anyone.

Have a great time in Switzerland!
