Hi all, after the detailed itinerary and rail pass calculation am thinking of buying 5 or 8 day flex stp. Wanted to know at what time the pass validity starts ? I believe there is no different rule for flex pass and consecutive days pass. So for simple example, let’s take 3 days consecutive stp for the explanation. Assuming travel date starting from Sep 1, 2019 and first usage of stp at 2:00 pm, till what date and time am eligible to travel for free using stp? Please confirm

It doesn’t matter what time of day you start. The main thing is that a travel day starts at midnight and runs until 5:00 am (when travel must be finished) the next day.

So if your 3-day consecutive pass starts 1 September you can use it from midnight on 31 August to 05:00 am on 4 September.

There is no such thing as a 5 day Flex pass. Only 3, 4, 8 and 15 days in a given month (ie 30 days).
