I understand that the Swiss Travel Pass covers a set of continuous “travel days” (eg 15) and the Swiss Travel Pass Flex covers a number (eg 15) of “travel days” which can be used over a longer period (eg a month). Apart from this, are the 2 passes exactly the same? In particular:

    1. Do both passes cover exactly the same museums with free entry on “travel days”?

    2. Are the discounts/ free use on the cable cars, “other” trains and urban transport exactly the same for both passes?

    Thank you!

Yes to both questions. You pay a bit of a premium for the flexibility offered by the Flex pass but apart from that they are identical in what they offer. The trap many people fall into is not being aware the Flex pass has no value on non-travel days.
