    Hi,

we are two families travelling to Switzerland from Milan in late November. we will be arriving from Milan on 28 November to Lucerne. we consist of 2 adults and 2 kids (aged 15 and 14, by actual birthdate) and 2 adults with 3 kids aged 15, 11 and 5). we will leaving from Basel on the 2nd December, 2017. it is a short trip but we hope to be able to make the best to see certain part of Switzerland.

the plan for now is to see Mt Titlis, Bern and Basel. we hope to also experience Christmas Market . we have yet to purchase our Swiss Travel Pass and thinking of buying 3 days pass, which according to our calculation will cost us around CHF400 per family.

please let us know besides the pass, do we still need to pay any other extras to allow us to cover our planned itenary?

    Thank you..

You will need an entry ticket for Titlis, the prices are on their website.

Hi hazinah and welcome to MySwissAlps!

The Swiss Travel Pass will fully cover your trips from Lucerne to Basel and Bern and it will cover 50% of the ticket from Engelberg to the top of Mt. Titlis. The trip from Lucerne to Engelberg is fully covered. To read about everything that is covered by the Swiss Travel Pass click here.

The adults will all need their own Swiss Travel Pass (maybe the 4 day is better for you?) and then you can add-on, for free, the Swiss Family Card (one card per family) which covers the children for free on all trips.

Bern Basel and Lucerne (and many other towns) will have Christmas markets operating (most start Nov. 24/25).
