Good Day,

I am planning to visit Switzerland for 5 days in early May 2019. Will be visiting Zurich, Luzern and Zermatt. However, instead of the Swiss Travel Pass, I am planning to get the Eurail Pass as I will be heading to Italy afterwards. However, I am having some queries as stated below, if you would kindly help 😀

Are these activities/transport available during May 2019?

1.Cable Car from Murren to Birg and Schilthorn

2. Thrill Walk at Birg

3. Cable Car to Mt Pilatus

4. Toboggan at Mt Pilatus

5. Cable Car to Mt Rigi

6. Hornlihut Hike

Eurail Pass
Do these benefits apply for days which are not designated “Pass Travel Days”?
E.g. Lake Lucerne Boat Trip (50% off)

Cable Car to Schilthorn (25% off)

Or do these discounts only apply on “Pass Travel Days”?

Or do you think a Swiss Travel Pass would still be more appropriate in terms of cost?

The Swiss Travel Pass will give better benefits in Switzerland and would be the better option probably, unless you have a fair bit if train travel in Italy as well. If only one or two trips I’d think about just point to point tickets in Italy: http://www.myswissalps.com/tr aintickets/italy/price
