    Hello guys,

We are planning for our Swiss trip on May 2nd. We will be coming from Paris on May 2nd night. Will be staying in Interlaken. May 3 or 4 to Jungfrau depending on the weather and the other day in Golden Pass line. May 4th night to Luzern. Will be staying there in Luzern on May 4th night. May 5th to Titis. May 5th night to chur. May 6th chur to Andermatt in Glacier express. And from Andermatt, will be leaving for Italy. How does it sound like? Is Glacier express worth it? I can change the reservations and plans inside Swiss based on the recommendations. But jungJung and Titlis must do in the list. Please help.

    Is Bernina better than Glacier?

    Hello Preethy,

From personal experience I would say the Bernina Express from Chur to Tirano is more interesting than the Glacier Express to Andermatt and on to Italy. Well that’s how it seemed to me but these things are very subjective.

Not sure what the train ride from Tirano to Milan is like.

Thanks so much. It there anything interesting to see in Luzern than the Panaromic train rides? Because confused between chur to Italy or Lucerne to Italy.

    Hi Preethy,

It depends how far into Italy you wan to go to some degree.

You have such a short time in Switzerland. One night in Lucerne doesn’t give you much time. There is plenty to do there – see http://www.myswissalps.com/lu cerne/activities.

If you are only going as far as Milan then you could consider another night in Lucerne on 5 May and on 6 May catch the Gotthard Panorama Express (http://www.myswissalps.com/go tthardpanoramaexpress) to Lugano and on to Milan. The lake cruise which is part of this trip is splendid if you like lake cruises. The timetable is here goo.gl/RSkgdQ. If the timing doesn’t suit you can always follow the same route by regular trains or skip the boat leg.

I hope this suggestion doesn’t add to your confusion but in Switzerland there are always more things to see and do than there is time available. That’s why many people return year after year.
