Thanks Anna for your suggestion. Appreciate it.
Everything depends on the weather. However, at Zermatt, am planning to go to Gornergrat, Glacier Paradise and Sunnega.
For Pontresina are activities, my youth hostel with provide an Engadin inclusive card which will cover my excursion transportation in the Upper Engadin area.
Do let me know whether to purchase Saver Day passes 60 days in advance or will Berner Oberland Pass + Swiss Half Fare Card suffice.
I believe i better get the Saver Day passes too. Thank you.
ChrisKParticipant16 posts27 March 2023 at 14:32:21 #950082I will purchase STP with the promotion.
Questions:
I want to go to Jungfraujoch, First, Harder Kulm. Is the regional pass make sense?. Jungfrau pass or Bernese better?
Do I need local bus passes if I have STP?
Thanks
AnnaModerator6355 posts27 March 2023 at 16:07:30 #950083Hi ChrisK,
With the Swiss Travel Pass, you can get discounted tickets for mountain excursions such as Jungfraujoch, Grindelwald First and Harder Kulm. If you want to completely avoid buying tickets, you can purchase a regional pass such as the Jungfrau Travel Pass or the Berner Oberland Pass. You can buy these passes at a reduced rate if you have a Swiss Travel Pass.
You can find more details in the following links:

Hope this helps.
Regards,
Anna

Welcome to MySwissAlps.

ArnoModerator15483 posts6 April 2023 at 14:30:07 #950092Hi Marinella,
Just to make sure: there’s no 11-day pass. You can use the 8-day pass with 2 extra days, having 1o in total. Depending on your plans, you could use normal tickets (https://www.myswissalps.com/traintickets/switzerland) or a Saver Day Pass (https://www.myswissalps.com/saverdaypass) for either the 1st or 11th day of your trip.
ChrisKParticipant16 posts8 April 2023 at 21:20:49 #950093Is local transportation in Zurich run by Zürcher Verkehrsverbund be free with STP?
RavandragParticipant2 posts12 April 2023 at 1:50:51 #950095Hi
My family and I will be traveling in Switzerland for 7 days. Wondering if there would be a 1 extra day promotion on 6 days first class STP as well?
YolandaModerator2333 posts12 April 2023 at 5:07:01 #950096Hello Ravandrag,
Welcome to MySwissAlps.
Thanks for your question. The answer is ‘no’. The offer applies to the following:
– The 4-day Swiss Travel Pass will have 1 extra travel day for free.
– The 8-day Swiss Travel Pass will have 2 extra travel days for free. The offer applies to 1st and 2nd class, and to adult and youth passes (for people up to 24 years old).
The offer does not apply to any other passes (3/6/15-day Swiss Travel Pass, Swiss Travel Pass Flex, regional passes, etc.).
I hope this clarifies.
Kind regards,
Yolanda
sanjeevParticipant48 posts13 April 2023 at 3:31:35 #950097Can we buy the Swiss Travel Pass at Geneva airport? Like to pay in cash – CHF or Euro. Is there any better online promotion?
Starting 9 days trip from Montreux on April 19.
Thanks for the replies.
YolandaModerator2333 posts13 April 2023 at 5:53:06 #950098Hello sanjeev,
Yes, you can but bear in mind, it could be quite busy. You can always purchase online, and have it ready to go when you arrive. There is a promotion that is expected to start 15 April, more details to follow via our forum.
If you are wanting to purchase beforehand online, please see below link:
Kind regards,
Yolanda
ArnoModerator15483 posts13 April 2023 at 8:14:56 #950099Hi sanjeev!
We can never be sure, but we don’t expect a better promotion than this one (free extra travel days for the 4-day and 8-day pass) to come along anytime soon. Overall, I recommend buying online. Reasons are described here: http://www.myswissalps.com/train/ticketspasses/practical/wheretobuy.
