Hi Chadbangerte,
Have you made any plans yet of where you will stay in March? Or are you open to any region? Is anyone planning/wanting to ski? It is still ski season and that is the main activity in most area of Switzerland.
What kind of indoor and outdoor activities do your family usually like to do? http://www.myswissalps.com/ac tivities
Sledging and snowshoeing is also a popular activity and possible at most mountains: http://www.myswissalps.com/ac tivities/naturalsites

Lucas,
We haven’t made any plans of where to stay just yet. We fly in and out of Zurich but otherwise we are open to places to stay. The kids are not skiers yet, so we probably don’t want to spend the time to teach them on this trip. Sledging would be fun as well as other snowy activities.
Indoor activities that would interest them would be museums that kids might enjoy, chocolate factory tours, indoor play areas, etc.
We are just wondering if there are some activities that other families have enjoyed this time of year that are not solely skiing.
Thanks

I’d focus on the Jungfrau region – it will give you plenty of things to do in the snow. http://www.myswissalps.com/ju ngfrauregion
There are some museums kids might like in the country, but it isn’t the reason to come to Switzerland and I wouldn’t pick your towns for them.
There is the Swiss Museum of Transport (Lucerne) The Ballenberg open air museum (Brienz) and the Swiss Science Center Technorama (Winterthur) and a the Funky Chocolate Club (Interlaken) to name a few.
Hopefully that gets you started on your plans – I think you’ll be happy with any town in the Jungfrau region for outdoor activities. Lucerne (http://www.myswissalps.com/lu cerne) is another good idea with a nice mix of larger town and nearby mountains with snow.
