Dear All,

I am travelling to Switzerland with my wife for seeing most of scenic beauty and making most use of travel pass which we have bought for 4 days. We will reach Geneva on 06th night at 21:05 and leave back from Geneva on 11October at 16:00.

6thNight- Geneva

7thMontreux: Travel early morning to Interlaken. Interlaken– Montreux (Jungfraujoch and GoldenPass Line Interlaken– Montreux) Excursion to the Jungfraujoch, the highest railway station in Europe at 3454 m. Enjoy some breathtaking views of the Aletsch Glacier at 22 km it is the longest glacier in the Alps and UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the early evening journey on the GoldenPass Line continues. Along the shores of Lake Thun you will reach the Simmen valley. Your journey takes you through the Pays d’Enhaut and through a tunnel, before the view of Lake Geneva and Montreux opens in front of you. Overnight in Montreux.

8th : ZermattJourney from Montreux to Zermatt. For the rest of the day you can admire the famous Matterhorn from Zermatt village. Take the world-famous Glacier Express for a ride in the panorama carriage to St.Moritz. The train takes you on over the Oberalp pass (2033 m) and through the Rhine gorge. Overnight in St. Moritz.

9th St. Moritz– Lugano (Bernina Express) Board the Bernina Express at St. Moritz station. Climbing over the Bernina pass to more than 2253m, you pass snow-covered mountain peaks and glaciers. After travelling over spiral viaducts and through winding tunnels, you reach Tirano in Italy. Change to the Bernina Express Bus which will take you onwards to Lugano. Overnight in Lugano.

10th: With the Gotthard Panorama Express you will travel from the south to the heart of Switzerland. The journey takes you along the Gotthard route through an impressive countryside. You will travel by 1st class panorama carriage from Lugano to Flüelen. Passengers will be accompanied in the panorama railcar by a travel guide. From Flüelen you will have a boat ride over lake Lucerne. Overnight in Lucerne.

11thBack to Geneva and take flight back to London.

It sounds like this is a booked tour or are you traveling alone with your wife? Or have you planned this out yourself and looking for advice?

7th: So you are making a round trip from Montreux to Jungfraujoch and back to Montreux? This is a very long day especially if you take the Golden Pass route in both directions (between Interlaken and Montreux). Use the timetable to plan out the train trip: http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable
