Hi dear,

I need a big help here.

I will either buy STP or Eurail pass for my holiday.

I need to know from Luzern to Milan, I need to get the ticket from Chiasso to Milan Centrale which STP does not cover.

1. How n where to get the ticket?

2. Can i get my ticket Chiasso to Italy from online platform Trenitalia?

2. Do I need to get down n transfer train at Chiasso to Milan Centrale?

3. Does Passport is required for crossing from Switzerland to Italy?

Hi Jenner,

1. Options to purchase tickets to Italy online are available here: www.myswissalps.com/traintickets/italy. You can also buy directly from any staffed SBB train station.

2. In most cases there is no need to switch trains in Chiasso unless your connection requires it: https://www.myswissalps.com/timetable.

3. Passport checks are usually carried out randomly on board the train when you cross the border. There is no need to get off the train.

Information about the Swiss Travel Pass and Eurail Global Pass can be found at https://www.myswissalps.com/swisstravelpass and https://www.myswissalps.com/eurailglobalpass.

Let us know if you need more info.

Regards,

Anna
