I see that Titlis is expected to be somewhat cloudy with precipitation 45% between 1200 and 1500 on Saturday. Since that is the only day I can go, I wonder if I should buy a ticket for the tour from Zurich. Even though it may be cloudy will it be worth the money to go? Will anything be closed such as the Rotar or the cliff walk? I enjoy cloudy weather and snow/rain, but does that forecast generally mean I can’t see anything from the mountain?

I know it is terrible to see that it can be bad weather, but do not give it up. Weather changes fast here, especially in the Alps: http://www.myswissalps.com/we ather. Forecasts are somewhat reliable for 2 to 3 days ahead of time. And even, if it says rain for every day, it does not necessarily mean that it will be raining continuously: http://www.myswissalps.com/we ather/forecast.

No one can predict in advance for sure if you will be able to see anything from the top. I recommend waiting a bit more. If you will be above the clouds it is very beautiful, but if you see nothing just the white “fog”, it isn’t worth to go up. If it is just a little cloudy, it is ok.

Have you seen the pictures here? http://www.myswissalps.com/ti tlis/pictures There are a few with cloud on it.
I have also added 3 photos to this post; when we were lucky (Berneuse, Leysin) and when we were not so lucky (Jungfraujoch).

Thank you for your response. The photos definitely show it can be sunny. The Jungfrau looked like that when I was there a few years ago and it was beautiful. Will they close anything because of weather at Titlis? Even if it is cloudy or snowing, I’d still like to do the cliff walk and the Rotar. Walking in the clouds can be interesting also. And I will just have to accept whatever weather happens at that time. Thanks again.

If it really bad weather, like storms, yes they can close it for safety reasons. In case of little rain/snow or clouds they remain open. I still hope you will have good weather though, have a nice trip! 🙂
