Hi everyone, I have a few questions. Is Trenline and SBB the same train operator? what is the diff. If we are driving from ZH to Lucerne to Gelmerbahn, how do we pay the toll charges? and what is the estimated toll charges?

    Hi AvaGrey888,

I don’t know a Trenline – do you mean Trainline?

Trainline sell train tickets, SBB is the train operator itself. By toll charges do you mean for the Gelmerbahn funicular? Or highway toll charges for the car?

You can find prices for the Gelmerbahn on their website: http://www.grimselwelt.ch/en/ transport-lift/gelmer

Highway tolls are collected just by buying a motorway vignette as a once time purchase (if you are renting a car in Switzerland it will have the vignette already). Read more about it here: http://www.myswissalps.com/mo torwayvignette
