    Hello,

I would like to know if the train ticket from Interlaken to Jungfraujoch and Jungfraujoch to Interlaken will be discounted 100% if I have a Swiss travel pass because I noticed on the calculation sheet that the train : Wengen – Jungfraujoch _ Grindelwald is discounted 25% not 100%.

    Thank you in advance,

    Hi Sofi123,

The excel sheet is correct at 25% off.

No rail passes offer 100% coverage to Jungfraujoch. The Swiss Travel Pass gives you 25% off the trip to Jungfraujoch from Wengen or Grindelwald. Travel from Interlaken to either town is covered 100%.

What coverage is offered by the Swiss Travel Pass is noted here.

    Lucas,

Thanks for the response. Can you please clarify how this works. If for example, I travel from Interlaken Ost and have the Swiss Travel Pass. Where and how to buy the ticket that covers the 75% of the trip from Wengen to Jungfraujosh. Can I do it in Interalaken or should it be done in Wengen? If this has to be done in Wengen I am concerned that I will not have enough time to make the connection to the closest train and will need to wait for the next one.

Hi Kevolehc and welcome to MySwissAlps!

You can buy the tickets online (and select that you have -or will have before boarding- the Swiss Travel Pass). You just buy a ticket from Wengen to Jungfraujoch. You can click on my Jungfraujoch link above and then click the ticket tab.

You can also buy a ticket from Wengen to Jungfraujoch at any train station office in Switzerland. Just show them your Swiss Travel Pass and they will give you the proper discount.

    Thank you Lucas!

Actually I was doing a trial to estimate the ticket fare from Interlaken Ost to Jungfraujoch and i got lost.

The fare indicated by SBB was 52.70 CHF ( single trip ) and when I clicked on it as if I wanted to purchase I found that this price is for the holders of half fare travel card so when I unchecked this option the price became 105.40 CHF.

Would please clarify this for me, I need to know the exact price of this single trip.

    Regards,

Yes, the regular price is 105.40 one-way from Interlaken.

With the Swiss Travel Pass you only need a ticket from Wengen or Grindelwald. Those prices are 88chf or 90chf one-way respectively.
You will then you will get 25% off those prices with the Swiss Travel Pass.

Our ticket page for Jungfraujoch has a link to the price list as a PDF (under more information)

Yes, they can be a bit hard to stomach! Make sure the weather looks good the day you want to go up or don’t bother – too much money to look at clouds!

Use their websites webcams the morning before you depart / buy the ticket.
