Hi — Do the Bernese Oberland Regional Pass and the Swiss Travel Pass cover all the same mountain routes/cable cars/funiculars in the Bernese region? Or are there differences in coverage and fees?

Hi JB721 and welcome to MySwissAlps!

Yes, there are differences in what each rail pass covers. You can read about those details here:

Typically you’ll get better discounts in the Bernese Oberlannd region with the Regional Pass Bernese Oberland, but depending on your other travel plans it may not be the best pass for your entire trip.

Be sure to also read how to choose the best rail pass here.

Thanks. So if I’m only going to use the pass within the Bernese Oberland does that pass provide the best coverage?

Yes, almost certainly. The links above give you details on discounts and maps of the routes that are covered for each pass.
