I am a vaccinated US citizen who will be in Switzerland later this month. Will I be able to travel on trains to/from Germany, France, Italy and Austria, or are there restrictions on this due to Covid?

    Hi SteelyD!

There won’t be any important restrictions for you as a vaccinated US citizen to enter Switzerland: http://www.myswissalps.com/forum/topic/does-the-corona-virus-affect-trips-to-switzerland.

As for train trips from and to neighboring countries: international trains are running, and the surrounding countries (largely) adopt the EU policy, meaning that vaccinated travelers can travel in and out quite easily. However, each country may choose to impose additional rules, so you’ll have to check the status for Germany, France, Italy and Austria too to be absolutely sure. This might be a good starting point for you: reopen.europa.eu/en.

I also recommend to check international train trips in the timetable before departure: http://www.myswissalps.com/timetable.

    I hope this helps!
