    Hello,

I have been trying to find out if there is train service from Munich to Bern (or Zürich-if none to Bern). It looks like there is bus service involving transfers and up to 7 or 8 hours, but I do not see anything for rail.

    Thank you, Lisa

Check out http://www.myswissalps.com/tr aintickets/germany. Also have a look at the DB timetable search at http://www.bahn.com/en/view/i ndex.shtml if you haven’t already.

    Hi Lisa,

The DB timetable mentioned by Rockoyster will come up with connections. So will the Swiss SBB timetable at myswissalps.com/timeta ble. There are numerous trains each day, with changes in Zurich or Basel.

There are only 2-3 direct trains per day (depending on the day) from Munich to Zurich then change to go to Berne. Good options otherwise are via Lindau (Germany not CH) to Zurich. Or via Ulm/Stuttgart. To Zurich (fast) takes between 4.25 mins and 5.25 mins
