    Hi,

I’m working on Plan B now, we’ve had to move our trip to June 2021.

I need to get from Zurich HB to Salzburg, travelling via Innsbruck. Is there a route that would be covered by the Swiss Travel Pass?

    Hi Theresa –

The STP is only valid inside Switzerland.

The usual route is via Feldkirch.

    Hi Theresa,

The Swiss Travel Pass is valid for travel until the Austrian border. If you are going via the normal route as mentioned by Slowpoke, that would mean your travel is covered from Zurich up to Feldkirch. Beyond that you would need a ticket to cover the rest of your journey.

Please find more details about how to use the Swiss Travel Pass here: http://www.myswissalps.com/swisstravelpass/howtouse

For tickets to Austria, a list of resellers are available here: http://www.myswissalps.com/traintickets/austria

    Stay safe and regards,

    Anna

The limit of Swiss rail passes is the railway frontier station of Buchs SG, not Feldkirch

For international services it is normal to buy the ‘global fare’. Discounts within part of the itinerary rarely save much money. This is especially true in northern Switzerland where the journey to the Swiss border from the main Swiss station starting points is not all that far.
