In June, we are flying into Geneva Airport on the Sunday, taking a train to Lucerne where we will stay for 7 nights. (We will buy a 5 day Tell Pass for the 6 full days we are there, as we plan to stay in the area, going on the Lake and to mountains, plus on the last day going to the art galleries etc). We then go by train to Basel for one night, before flying from Basel airport the next day.

I had planned on buying the Swiss transfer ticket to get us from Geneva airport to Lucerne, and then Lucerne to Basel. I had hoped it might get us to the airport the next day, but think the ticket only covers one journey each way on two days, so will need to pay to get to Basel airport. Is this correct please.? Thanks.

Hi Monica23,

Thanks for joining MySwissAlps! Your assumption is correct. It is explained here: myswissalps.com/swisst ransferticket/howtouse.

This is not a problem though, as hotel guests in Basel get free public transport within town and to the airport anyway:

You can print the Swiss Transfer Ticket at home: myswissalps.com/swisst ransferticket/price
