Hi Shan M and welcome to MySwissAlps!

I would think the Swiss Travel Pass is a good idea for you yes. It will cover all rail trips between your towns, and give 50% off the trip to Titlis (https://www.myswissalp s.com/titlis) from Engelberg and 25% off the trip to Jungfraujoch (https://www.myswissalp s.com/jungfraujoch) from Wengen or Grindelwald.

See the coverage area in more detail here: https://www.myswissalp s.com/swisstravelpass/ validity

If you decide to buy the Swiss Travel Pass, you can do so online here: https://www.myswissalp s.com/swisstravelpass/ price

It’s most convenient to buy the Swiss Travel Pass online. It can be emailed to you and printed at home (saving you time at the airport and giving you a copy to print out again in case you lose your pass).

    Hi Lucas ,

Thanks for your suggestions and sorry for late reply. I wish to know, what discounts I can get while visiting Jungfrau , Mount titilis and Pilatus if I buy half fare travel card?

I have decided to stay at Lucerne at first 2 days and planned my itinerary as follows.

26/8/18 -Arrive at Lucenre and explore local places.

27/8/18-Planned to visit Jungfrau or Pilatus .

28/8/18-Visit Mount Titilis and travel back to zurich in the evening.

    29/8/18 -explore Zurich

I am uncertain about visiting Jungfrau as it is a long jounrney from Lucerne ( So Pilatus kept as an option) However can you please advice how can I book tickets to Jungfrau from Lucerne? When I tried to book tickets online I couldnt see the train timings and also bit confused about seat reservations.

    Thannks and Regards

    Shan M

    Hi Shan,

The Swiss Half Fare Card gets you 50% off all train trips in Switzerland, as explained here: https://www.myswissalp s.com/swisshalffarecar d. Be sure to check the “Where it’s valid” tab too.

Jungfraujoch is indeed a long day of travel from Lucerne. Most of the trip isn’t reservable. You can reserve between Lucerne and Interlaken if you take the direct “Lucerne-Interlaken Express” but they really aren’t needed.

The other part of the route that is reservable is right at the end, between Kleine Scheidegg and Jungfraujoch which can get busy in August. Reservations are possible, if you’d like, here: https://www.myswissalp s.com/jungfraujoch/tic kets (click the link under “more on other websites”).
