Hi, What is the best way to travel by Air from London to Switzerland for base in Interlaken. I was in Interlaken last December with my kids. Get to go up to Murren (such an amazing place) It was snowing at that time but not Schiltorn due to windy condition.Grindelwald is beautiful too.My trip was such a disaster because our train back to Paris was cancelled due do the strike. We wanted to visit the alps again because the place is so peaceful, beautiful, clean, and the people are so friendly. We plan to go the this time by air again because we dont want to go via Paris again. Any suggestion?

There are hundreds of flights a day to Switzerland from the UK. You can fly from all five London airports and most UK regional airports – especially in winter. This is not really the site to use for that, it is best to research it yourself using air travel apps.

The three main airports in Switzerland are Geneva, Zurich and Basel. Zurich and Basel are the most convenient to get to Interlaken

Thank you 196oman And Rockoyster. Zurich seems to be the easiest since train station is located at the airport too.

    Hi Zairy-

Although it is, as 1960man noted, less convenient for Interlaken, there is a train station for mainline trains at Geneva airport as well.
