The route is Milan to Domodossola to Interlaken – correct. Your Swiss Travel Pass will cover your travel from Domodossola onwards.

    Hi.

We have a Swiss Pass and are looking to travel to Switzerland from USA. If we like to go to Mount Rigi and Schilthorn, how do we reserve our seats?

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers.

You don’t reserve seats. You need to show your Swiss Travel Pass at the ticket office to receive a free ticket for both.

For Schilthorn there is an optional “boarding pass” you cabin get to access a fast lane in the queue. See schilthorn.ch/en/Guara nteed_Departure_Time#.

Thank you so much for the lightning fast response.

That is indeed very useful advice regarding the boarding pass & saves a lot of time.

You don’t even need a free ticket for the Rigi, you can just pass through after showing your pass.

    Enjoy your trips!

    Hi.

Since we have a Swiss Travel Pass & we will be traveling from Zurich to Munich, from which city can we buy the train ticket so as to have as much as possible to the travel covered by the Swiss Travel Pass?

    Thanks.

    Hi Gajendrabafn,

That depends on your route, but most likely Basel or Schaffhausen. Please see the map in the validity link that Rockoyster gave you.

You’d best check if you really save money using the Swiss Travel Pass that day. Sometimes tickets from the border or from a city in Switzerland to another city abroad are the same price. You can check through the websites listed here: http://www.myswissalps.com/tr aintickets/germany/pri ce.
